The power of small steps

It can be daunting to try and make positive changes in your life when you might not know where to begin. Whether you're trying to eat healthier, be more productive, or learn a new skill, it can be easy to get overwhelmed and give up before you even start. But it doesn't have to be that way! Sometimes, all it takes is taking that first step.

You also don't have to completely overhaul your lifestyle to see results. Sometimes, all you have to do is make a few small tweaks. And that just means starting where you are with what you have. For example, if you're trying to get more exercise, instead of signing up for a gym membership and committing to working out for an hour every day, start by going for a 10-minute walk around your neighborhood. Or if you're trying to read more books, instead of vowing to read one book per week, start by reading 10 pages per day. Small changes like these are much easier to stick to, and before you know it, you’ll experience a mindset shift and find yourself reaching those bigger goals.

Making positive changes in your life can feel intimidating, but it really doesn't have to be. One of the best ways to get started is by breaking it down into manageable small steps, and taking that next best step for you. And remember—the journey is just as important as the destination. So don't get discouraged if you don't see results overnight—just keep moving forward one step at a time. You got this!

The power and fulfillment of practicing acts of random kindness

Life can be hectic. It’s no secret that we all have our own lives to manage, complete with personal goals, responsibilities, and routines. It’s easy to fall into the trap of self-absorption and forget about what’s happening around us. However, in these moments, it’s important to remember that human connection is what truly matters. We gain so much when we take a moment to shift our focus outward and practice random acts of kindness towards those around us. These moments don’t need to be grand or complicated but simple gestures that make a significant difference in someone’s day.

Enhance or recover your creativity with morning pages

If you're stuck in a creative rut and need help jumpstarting your ideas, morning pages might be just the thing. Developed by The Artist's Way author Julia Cameron, this daily practice has proved itself to be an invaluable tool for regaining perspective and unlocking inspiration. I've recently returned to doing my morning pages routine and trust me when I say it truly works wonders.
